A Nepal identity
Eligible applicants can request a free .np name through Nepal’s official registry. This uses a separate application and document review. Check the .np requirements.
Keep it short, avoid unnecessary hyphens and numbers, and check for existing business names or trademarks. Availability in a domain search does not establish a right to use someone else’s brand.

Searching is the first step. Registration is complete when the order is processed and the domain is confirmed in your account.

- Keep registrant details and your recovery email current. Use a unique password and two-factor authentication wherever your account supports it.
- Keep the domain transfer lock enabled unless you are intentionally transferring it. Treat authorization codes as sensitive account credentials.
- Set your own renewal reminder as well as reading billing notices. Confirm renewal payment is completed before expiry; do not rely on a reminder alone.
- Before changing nameservers, copy the DNS records used by your website and email. A hosting migration and a registrar transfer are separate tasks.
